Your kid's heart - does it get much better?
So, at church (Mount Rainier Christian Center in Enumclaw, WA) we took home two boxes for Operation Christmas Child through Samaritanspurse.org and in conversation about families and children in need around the world, we started talking about how some places don't have clean water. Harmon, our 7 year old, was really interested in helping people have clean water, so I looked up The Water Project. We read about how communities in Africa need clean water. AND when communities get clean water, girls get to go to school! When they don't have clean water, the girls spend all day walking to and from water sources, carrying water (that is not clean or healthy in most cases). SO, Harmon wants to raise money to help girls go to school, help people have clean water. She asks me tonight, "Mom, can we keep buying water to sell until all the girls can go to school and not ever have to carry water all day again?" LOVE her heart!
We bought 3 cases of bottled water to sell, all proceeds will go to her fund that we've set up. WILL YOU HELP?? You can go to the link and donate directly. You can pick up your bottle of water at my office in town if you'd like too! (1724 Cole St Enumclaw, WA 98022) I'll be selling them at my office and Rob will be at his work too.
